This is a short story about me and how and why this whole thing started and what to expect about it. I'm Julian Quintero from Bogotá, Colombia. I have always loved and practiced art since i can remember, i loved drawing and doing paintings as a little kid. I have been playing guitar for 15 years now. I've been busy with some things in my life before, like getting a degree as a medical doctor (which i did), and saving enough money to get all the things needed to make an album and getting my full time into making music. But why would i do that?. Well, cause i love music and art more than anything else in my life, making it is the biggest gift that i could have ever be given.
Now, making this sort of things takes a little more than love for them to really come with something great. Have you asked yourself when was the last time you got hyped because of a new rock n roll song? Or the release of a new album?. You may have done it, but how often does it happen?.
It's not that there is not good rock and metal out there right now, but if you take a closer look, the bands that do those releases are on their late 50´s and 60´s. Eventually they will stop doing it and playing, and there is when the new bands are going to be the future of rock n roll music. And have you asked when was the last time you found a "New" rock n roll band that sound as good as the bands that started the whole thing?. Rock n roll has come throughout history in waves, all of them filled with good bans and exciting new music. The last one happened more than 15 years ago, so yes it's time for a new one.
I bet that you have read somewhere, "music was a lot better before" and that sort of things, cause well, it's true. Nowadays most music is a lot less elaborated (on the writing process) on any popular genre. So ReBörn and the debut album, which is going to be released before this year ends, tends to go all the way back to bring back those classic sounds from 40 and 50 years ago that everyone loved. If your favorite rock n roll band started playing more than 30 years ago....you're going to love our work. Things were done better before, right?.
So with that need of new, exciting good written music on mind i came up with an album, wrote the songs on it and talked to Juan Plazas, a great classical influenced lead guitar player and sound engineer so we could make this whole thing work and take shape. And it's happening and half way done right now.
Finally...the great music from all classical bands will always be there for us to enjoy it (even you can't watch most of them playing live today), but could you imagine a bunch of bands making songs as great and big as the 70´s and the 80's rock hits? I know it's really hard to do it but believe it cause it's possible, it´s going to happen and we're going to be the first band doing it. A new Rock n roll wave is coming in a short time...you want it, i want it, we all want it and is going to happen, the time has come.
